Lucky bamboo playsuit

Forever New floral playsuit | PeepToe heels | Bracelet from Hong Kong

It's all about the playsuit today! I think the playsuit is one of the most underrated items in a girl's closet but it shouldn't be. Providing both comfort and style (you don't need to worry about flashing when you're sitting down and you're free to run around and do whatever you like!), it's a great alternative to a dress.

The look that I have on is a floral playsuit and I added the black bow around the waist to break up the prints.

Hope you enjoyed the look today! I know what item I'll be on the search for especially with summer around the corner!

Cool eyewear from Oscar Wylee

I just placed an order with Oscar Wylee for 5 pairs of eyeglasses. I can't wait to receive them and try on the glasses I chose!

Oscar Wylee seems to have gotten their inspiration from Warby Parker, a US company that came up with the brilliant idea of providing consumers with low-cost, quality eyewear. A pair of glasses only costs $98! This is a welcome change and less cost-heavy alternative to purchasing a pair of glasses from the expensive brands that dominate the eyewear industry. I'm sure a lot of you out there know how expensive it is to purchase a pair of glasses, especially when you add in the cost of the prescription lens, which could mean a pair of glasses could well be $400+ in Australia.

Although Oscar Wylee bears remarkable similarity to Warby Parker, I am sure consumers in Australia (including me) welcome it with open arms considering Warby Parker isn't available in Australia and glasses here are so overpriced. Oscar Wylee also follows closely in line with Warby Parker in that they have implemented the 'buy one, give one' model which gives people in poverty-stricken countries access to much needed eyecare. I think this is a fantastic and innovative way of selling products while being socially conscious at the same time.

What's great about Oscar Wylee's website is that it allows you to 'try-on' virtually a pair of glasses to see whether they complement your facial structure.

Here are the glasses I tried on virtually:

Fingers crossed that one of the 5 pairs I chose fits my face! If they do, I'll do a post where I actually try the glasses on in real life.

Till next time!

Wildflower leggings

I'm so excited because today marks my first official blog post! Hats off to all the fashion bloggers out there because it's not as easy and effortless as one would think (and they always look so polished and professional).

Since it is springtime in Australia I decided to wear these floral leggings I recently purchased. I spotted them when I was walking through the shops one day and got them on sale for only $20!

I've been on the lookout for floral leggings for some time but couldn't find the right combination of colours that I liked. So when I saw these leggings with the pink and purple flowers I knew I had to buy them. I was in a very floral mood and bought another pair of floral denim the same day.

After I bought them I showed the leggings to one of my guy friends who actually laughed out loud because he thought they looked silly (but I think otherwise)!

What I'm wearing:

Topshop singlet H&M blazer Dotti leggings Steve Madden heels Ray-Ban sunglasses

I have on my nails OPI Mod About You which is a pretty pink pastel colour that's perfect for spring (and summer)!

I hope you enjoyed my outfit post for today. See you next time!
